ACT4PPP Workshop: "Approaching PPP in Urban Development Projects - Possibilities and Challenges"

Many cities and regions in Europe are increasingly challenged by their responsibilities to provide public services, social housing or to develop brownfield sites. However in only a few European countries the PPP approach has become an established development vehicle. The INTERREG IV-B Central Europe Project ACT4PPP gathered under the lead of the German Federal Association of the State and Urban Development Companies, 17 European cities, development agencies and consultancies to a transnational platform for the exchange of experience on PPP approaches. Moreover, ACT4PPP tested at twelve local pilot projects in different fields of urban development, possibilities and challenges of the PPP tool. The workshop will introduce three pilot projects and will summaries with a panel discussion the main results and conclusions that have been made within the last years.
